There are a million ways to show your love for someone. For example, a proposal can be made on a Jumbotron at a baseball game. Or you could get engaged at the restaurant you had your first date at. But why settle for the conventional, when you can ask your love to marry you using Legos!
Atlanta filmmaker Walt Thompson devoted 22 hours to shooting and editing the stop-motion LEGO marriage proposal for his girlfriend, Nealey Dozier. After taking 2,600 painstakingly posed photographs, Thompson played the video for Dozier. While Dozier was watching, Thompson was waiting for the exact moment the words “Will you marry me?” appeared on the screen. Although the level of detail in the video might escape some casual viewers, Thompson pulled out all the stops to make the experience as memorable as possible. Thompson tried to reproduce the scenes from the two’s past and present, starting with the moment they first met, the video follows the couple as they discover themselves and build their lives together. Finally, the video culminates in a wedding ceremony where the LEGO Thompson presents his wife-to-be with a huge diamond ring as she makes her way toward the altar.
