Modern Lakeside Wedding Photos by Phototerra Studio
If ever there were a wedding so deserving of complete gushing, it’s this lakeside wedding by Phototerra Studio. Equal parts modern and fun, it has us dreaming of a lakeside retreat in the wilds of Quebec.
Mitch and Lauren’s wedding was held on Lac Masson in Esterel, Quebec. So much gorgeous! Lauren’s dress is simply perfect for the day! What I love most are the endless personal touches.
From Phototerra Studios on the inspiration of the day, “ Following the surprise engagement on the eve of her 30th birthday, Lauren and Mitchell immediately decided on a Fall wedding. With the Jewish holidays occupying most of October, this left only three months for Lauren to plan her September nuptials. What started out as an intimate country wedding turned into a 300 person lakeside affair; complete with three tents, the wedding scene resembled a floral fairground but every aspect of the wedding was a true reflection of the couple, they insisted on doing things ‘their way’. Getting married outdoors on Lac Masson in Esterel, Quebec was a necessity, “it wasn’t even a question”. Although they live in Montreal, Lauren and Mitch spend most of their leisure time at their cottage and even went on their first date there some 8 years earlier.Contrary to the traditional white wedding, Lauren’s inspirations stemmed from colorful Indian wedding ceremonies and Moroccan jewel tones. She insisted on having “lots of flowers” in pinks, purples and oranges.”
Whether the detail is small like bright centrepieces, or huge like Lac Masson, these are just some of the elements that helped make Mitch and Lauren’s lakeside wedding photos so amazing!
