Traditional and Elegant Victoria Wedding Photos by Dragonflight Photography
Traditional, elegant, romantic – you really can’t go wrong when those are the words that describe your wedding, and they fit these Victoria wedding photos by Dragonflight Photography to a tee.
St. Joseph’s was a touch of sentiment when Peter and Brianne exchanged their vows, and Da Vinci Centre was the perfect elegant setting for the reception, while the lovely couple brought in their own version of glamourous with all the unique touches.
Dragonflight Photography on traditions at the wedding, “As the couple walked into the reception hall their parents were waiting for them to do a Polish ceremony called Bread & Salt: The sharing of the bread, salt and wine is an old Polish tradition. At the wedding reception, the parents of the bride and groom, greet the newly married couple with bread, which is lightly sprinkled with salt and a goblet of wine. With the bread, the parents are hoping that their children will never hunger or be in need. With the salt, they are reminding the couple that their life may be difficult at times, and they must learn to cope with life’s struggles. With the wine, they are hoping that the couple will never thirst and wish that they have a life of good health, and good cheer and share the company of many good friends. It was the first time I had ever seen this tradition, and it was a nice touch as the couple walked into the reception hall.”
All of this elegance made a wonderful backdrop for the best things about this wedding – all of the love, laughter, and emotion.
